I had hip replacement surgery with Dr. Emmerson and was walking without a walker in five days. It was almost painless; I didn't take any pain medicine after I left the hospital. It has been three months and I have resumed all activities including horseback riding!!
I am 71 years old and Dr. Emmerson replaced my right knee in May of this year. After 6 weeks of physical therapy I could walk and undertake other activities easily. Now three months since the surgery, I feel better than I did before the surgery and continue to improve. I look forward to a life with no significant constraints on what I am able to do, including long distance walking, skiing and fly fishing in California's rivers.
